AI shopping agents are starting to buy on behalf of people: a shopper asks an assistant for a gift, and the assistant finds a store, checks prices and stock, picks shipping and pays. The Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) is the open standard those agents use to talk to stores. UCP Agent makes your store one of them. Once installed, the app publishes a machine-readable profile of your store and answers agent requests for you. Every checkout is built on your real catalog: current prices, inventory, your shipping regions and rates, and any coupon code the shopper has. The agent pays with Google Pay through your own Stripe account, and the app creates a regular order in your dashboard with the payment recorded, so you pack and ship as you do today. Marking the order fulfilled notifies the agent automatically. Security is built in. Agent requests can carry cryptographic signatures that the app verifies, and you can require them. Prices and stock always come from your store, never from the agent. Your Stripe key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Setup takes minutes from the app's dashboard page. UCP Agent is free; Stripe and your store plan charge their usual fees.
