Mum of three, business owner and photographer Caroline is the content creator behind Simply Caroline. Simply Caroline is a blog, which originated on Instagram, where Caroline shares all that she loves - with the hope that her readers find enjoyment and inspiration too. Although some would think the main purpose of Caroline’s website would be to just upload blogs - it is so much more than that; We wanted to capture her personality and job aspects throughout. From photos portrayed as polaroids lining borders of pages, to having a shop where readers can find anything and everything from @simplycaroline.co.uk Instagram to buy at the click of their fingers. 

Another important aspect to communicate via Caroline’s website was her new and expanding YouTube channel; The place where readers can find out more and view behind the scenes. In order to ensure brand consistency throughout, I also edit Caroline’s vlog-style videos weekly - incorporating assets (such as her polaroid pictures or Instagram feed snapshots) throughout.

A website and brand identity to grab the attention of adults, whilst maintaining a child-like demeanour. Soft Play Party Hire is a children’s party hire company, offering a drop-off and pick-up service of their soft play equipment. Through shapes we wanted to convey the textures and capabilities of the play equipment on offer - as well as show off its fun and excitement factor, via the use of bold and bright contrasting colours. 

The bespoke font used within the branding is quirky and, whilst being made up of varying shapes that a child would recognise, resembles the soft play toys available to hire. 

With moving elements which slide into the screen or tilt with the hover of your mouse, Soft Play Party Hire’s website is packed with personality and portrays Charlotte’s unique service.

Crayke Cottages is a charming, family-run country retreat, in the heart of rural North Yorkshire. The focus of their brand identity and website was to reflect the warmth and homeliness of the three cottages and ensure that this captured the attention of their main target audience. 

As a small holiday business, it was essential that visitors would quickly and easily be able to find all of the information - as well as where to book online. Crayke Cottages website includes all of the necessary features - from a blog with featured posts about the area, to individual pages about each cottage, and multiple booking links-out to the external booking website.

To keep all of the branding consistent, I adapted the branding to be suitable for physical signs for the cottages. The existing brand mark has also been utilised for the stickers on Lucy’s home-made apple juice (which can be purchased during your stay).

Military in Motion is a worldwide fitness community, led by Dame Kelly Holmes. Originally hosting in-person events, Military in Motion became a solid online community throughout lockdown - before coming back to hosting a wide range of in-person events since 2020. 

Setting a variety of Challenges and providing a range of Programmes for their community to take part in, it was vital that Military in Motion had a website as a base for anyone (whether a new MiM ‘Trooper’ or having been there since the beginning) to find all of the information that they needed. It was important to design the MiM website with this in mind. The website features individual pages for both Challenges  and Programmes - as well as an overall ‘hub’ page for Fitness, and another for Sessions. 

A big part of my role within Military in Motion is the branding of the actual Challenges and Programmes, to make them exciting and intriguing - enticing Troopers into wanting to sign up. Whether this be squares for Instagram advertisements, covers or thumbnails for YouTube or Gymcatch, or header images for Facebook Groups - the individual branding must be versatile, to be used in a variety of different places. 
Although the brand identity for each Challenge and Programme is unique, it must also be relevant to MiM itself and stay inline with the brand guidelines. 

I create a diverse range of designs for MiM socials: animations, static posts, videos and mock-ups. Mock-ups include designs of T-Shirts, Beanies, Snoods and more, all featuring as part of the ‘Uniform’ section under ‘Stores’ on the MiM website. As well as digital designs, I also design physical items - such as the MiM medals; A huge motivation in taking part in anything MiM, which Troopers love to work towards and collect.

Unique Escapes - feel at home when you’re away. The properties of The Coach House and Stables, owned by Ali and James, form Unique Escapes. Based in Ripon there is plenty to do and see nearby, lots of which can be found via the ‘To Do’ or ‘Nearby’ section on the Unique Escapes website.

The owners wanted their website to encapsulate that feeling of walking through the front door of their properties for the very first time; Breathtaking. Both properties are modern and sleek with subtle pops of colour and pattern throughout. Similarly, their website and branding mostly consists of a rich navy and sophisticated cream - incorporating slight hints of colour within titles or buttons. The colour scheme within Unique Escapes’ brand identity is taken directly from elements of The Coach House and Stables: cushions, bed heads, curtains and prints. 

With no existing branding, the aim of the Unique Escapes branding was also to reflect the overall aura of the properties - using existing features of the properties themselves (such as the arched window). With gentle swooshes between letters and a carefully chosen handwritten font, the brand identity does just that.

A Home-based Spa in Pontefract, Spa AMA provides everything you need to have that bit of me-time. Offering a variety of treatments to her clients, Amanda’s website needed to showcase all of these so that her clients know exactly what to expect throughout their day of luxury. Facial, Body and Nail treatments galore, Amanda’s website features treatment lists and prices - as well as consent forms required by visiting clients. Originally a grey colour scheme, we decided to add in touches of pink and green to add that extra sense of opulence throughout the site.

Accompanying Spa AMA’s beautiful Spa and stunning website, I have also designed a set of poster, advert and social designs which can be used again and again.

Situated in the heart of York, Coppergate Apartments offers two self-catering apartments, located in the ideal place for visiting attractions. The apartments feature jewel-based tones throughout, which the website echoes. As well as being able to book via Booking.com, Juliet and Nick’s website also hosts its own booking system - which is fully incorporated into their website.

Coppergate Apartments brand identity is based on a map pointer, conveying the fact that the apartments are in the prime location within York. The Brand Mark includes the ‘C’ and ‘A’ initials from Coppergate Apartments - with the Secondary Logo including the text in an archway above the Brand Mark (just like the archway above the apartments’ entrance). 

Overall, Juliet and Nick’s Coppergate Apartments website is their online space to portray all that their guests get to experience throughout their stay (backed up by the wonderful testimonials) and accompanies their new Instagram blog perfectly. 

The Limitless CEO, Ali and Em - redefining CEO as Consciously Evolving Owner. Ali and Em are the leading coach duo in the UK, meeting your next level of wealth, health, freedom and happiness through strategy and energetics. I was so excited to work on their bespoke project, ‘The Boutique’ - including, not only their new website, but also unique animation. The duo wanted their website and assets to wow and stand out from the crowd, just as they do in business. 

As coaches, it was vital that their website was well-integrated with their existing Kajabi platform and shows off everything that they have on the ‘shelves’.
A big part of the project was creating ‘The Boutique’ animation, as a loading page for The Boutique itself.

Alongside their website I had the pleasure of creating 12 sets of animations for their social media. These featured as part of The Limitless CEO 12 Days of Gifting 2022.

Maria Law is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, based in Tadcaster (North Yorkshire). As part of her service, she also offers Compassion Focused Therapy. Maria’s colour scheme was carefully curated with this in mind, considering the ‘Soothing System’ and the use of green, red and blue within this. The use of more luxury fonts within Maria’s brand identity convey her professional service.

Maria’s website provides a space for potential clients to learn all about the services that are on offer, and allows any clients to easily get in touch.

Blossom Beauty is a Beauty Salon based in Leeds. Owned by Maisie and Clarrie, the salon provides a wide range of lash, nail and massage treatments to make you feel well and truly pampered. With their website being one of the first places their clients look, it was vital that their services list and booking links were easily accessible. The Blossom Beauty website contains individual Meet The Team pages so that you can get to know your beauty therapist prior to your appointment and has the external booking system (hosted on Get Timely) embedded into the site.

An up-and-coming Healthcare Recruitment business, Linro Care is owned by Recruiter Linzi Roberts. Although Linro Care’s website is currently a landing page, a landing page is still an amazing piece of marketing - therefore Linzi’s website contains an email subscriber form so that clients can be the first to know when her business officially launches. 

Noticing a trend that most Healthcare Recruitment Companies predominantly used greens and blues throughout their identity, we wanted to think outside the box and make Linro Care’s branding stand out (just like Linro Care itself). Choosing to keep a bit of blue (however make this less clinical), I complimented this with a professional purple and fresh orange.

Linro Care’s logo features a dot above both the ‘L’ and ‘C’ - depicting a Carer and Patient when placed together within the Brand Mark. 

An Email Signature is an important part of any business. Including Linro Care’s branding and Linzi’s details, I designed the Email Signature to be used on Linzi’s business email address. 

Jayne Hindmarsh is a fitness instructor, leading classes in Zumba, Pilates and Danza. She wanted to capture the energy and enthusiasm of her Zumba and Danza classes and portray this throughout her feed - whilst also balancing this with the relaxing (yet powerful) feeling of Pilates. I curate Jayne’s feed, on both Instagram and Facebook, with a mixture of animations, still-posts and reels - reaching out to a wide audience and attracting new attendees.

Jayne’s website is the first ever website I designed and uses the monochrome colours from her colour palette in order to convey the calming atmosphere that Jayne’s Pilates classes create.

Sonali Oberoi is a Copywriter, based in London. She prides herself on enabling her clients to stand out from the crowd with persuasive copy that compels action; Her branding and website don’t differ from this - with bold colours and fonts allowing Sonali’s work to get noticed. Sonali’s website shows off her work with her project portfolio and glowing testimonials - everything a potential client would want to see prior to working with Sonali.

I originally met Sonali when she was in need of a Graphic Designer to turn her compelling copy into attractive designs, whilst Sonali completed her Copywriting course. The designs and copy were based on set briefs and are fake adverts for real companies. 

Leah Mays Beauty is a Beauty Salon based in Blackpool, England. Not only do Leah Mays provide amazing services for their clients, they also sell their own-branded products online and host courses for others to learn. It was therefore important that their website would easily incorporate eCommerce features, such as an online shop and booking system. The website used the Wix Stores plugin and also has their existing booking system (Fresha) integrated.

Aisha is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in York, providing therapy to both online and in-person clients. Her website and branding contain calming, pastel blues, greens, oranges and yellows and reflect Aisha’s friendly nature and the service she provides.

Aisha’s branding contains her business name and features the crossbar of the ‘A’ lengthened,  cutting between the ‘i’ - representing overcoming obstacles and new horizons.

Sophie Amelia is a talented Textile Designer, based in Leeds. After having met Sophie during Summer 2022 and seeing her passion for creativity, I was so excited when she reached out about her website. 

Whilst maintaining her minimalistic branding, I added in a bit of personality with slight hints of light blue and dark green in white and black. Without giving her website too much movement, I also added in various interactive features (such as colour change on hover) to make Sophie’s website a bit more bespoke.

As one of my first clients when I started out on my business journey, Butterflies Beauty website was due a refresh. 

Carol’s beauty business was coming up to its 12th Birthday when Carol got in touch to ask me to adapt her existing butterfly symbol to be suitable for celebrating the occasion. I did just this; At the same time I designed loyalty cards for clients at the salon and updated Carol’s website with a new and refreshed look and layout. Having learnt new skills since I had originally designed the Butterflies Beauty website, I also adapted Carol’s site so that it would be easier for her to maintain.

business: After Faith.

Aisha’s branding consists of two main fonts, each quite different in look and feel. Her Primary Logo includes the two fonts side by side - one being used for ‘After’ and the other for ‘Faith’. The two words are each in a different font to convey the journey from A to B and Aisha guiding you from one to the other through her talking therapy. 

The After Faith website contains a Blog and FAQ, where any website visitors or clients of Aisha can stay up-to-date and well-informed with After Faith.

Hannah Turlington is a Textile Designer based near the Yorkshire coast. Hannah’s website and branding portray her rustic style perfectly, from a handwritten logo, to typewriter-like fonts.

Hannah’s website is the perfect base for her to advertise all that she has going on; Exhibitions, open studios and products that she is selling. Her website has eCommerce featured, enabling her to easily sell her work (via Wix Stores).

With over twenty years in the recruitment business Feeling Ambitious, is the perfect place to go to find work or talent. Linzi wanted branding that would stand out from the crowd, just like Feeling Ambitious itself. 

Both the Secondary Logo and website itself show a journey - the recruitment journey. This is conveyed via both the lengthened ‘i’ across both words within the logo, as well as the majority of the website leading from one scrolling landing page. 

We wanted Linzi’s website to be sleek, modern and easy to use - as well as being professional and corporate to reflect her area of work. Using stock background images which highlight a variety of jobs and straight lines as separators, the Feeling Ambitious website does just that.
